Raised in Sydney, Hannah moved to Melbourne to study photography and art history at The Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Here she developed an appreciation for documentary photography and traditional photographic techniques which she uses to inform her commercial work today.
After graduating she moved to New York where she lived for 5 years working as a photo assistant to photographers she’d admired from her early teens.
Assisting gave Hannah the opportunity to travel the globe on high end shoots, bringing back with her a high level of technical proficiency and client management. But it was documenting everyday life and the city of NYC that gave Hannah her playful and spontaneous style. Always opportunistic, she depicts her subjects with warmth and honesty.
An enthusiasm towards image making and a deep commitment to collaboration has seen Hannah booked on shoots across Austalia, New York and Europe. She has been a contributor to magazines including Vogue Australia, Vogue Russia, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, i-D, and Russh. Her advertising clients include H&M, Nike, David Jones, The Strand Arcade and Seafolly Australia among others.
Hannah is currently based between Paris and Sydney.
